H&M is launching the second installment of its eco-friendly eveningwear line, Conscious Exclusive.
While
Helen Hunt's custom-made Oscars dress will not be sold on the racks,
the capsule collection does offer up some stylish formalwear including
fairytale ballgowns, sleek dresses, tailored suits and embellished
accessories.
The items will hit stores and the fashion giant's website on April 4.
Red carpet looks on a budget: H&M is
launching the second installment of its eco-friendly eveningwear
collection, Conscious Exclusive, available April 4
Going green: The looks from the line are
all made from sustainable materials like recycled polyester, hemp and
organic cotton as part of the retailer's 'ongoing commitment to a more
sustainable fashion future'
Looks
from the ethical line - which is an extension of the retailer's more
casual Conscious range - are inspired by Hollywood glamor and red carpet
style.
Each piece is made from sustainable materials like recycled polyester, hemp and organic cotton, and clothes are all ethically sourced as part of H&M's 'ongoing commitment to a more sustainable fashion future.'
Not only is the collection eco-friendly, but it also offers up some of the season's most popular trends.
One elegant pink floor-length gown is cinched at the waist and features a dramatic open back.
Other romantic looks include a fitted strapless gown with heart-shaped bodice and tulle skirt, and a periwinkle blue wrap dress with plunging neckline.
Also included in the line are feminine
takes on menswear, like a tailored white three-piece suit and a
slinky black jumpsuit.

And a white kimono top worn over loose white trousers makes for a modern take on formalwear.
The retailer's head of design Ann-Sofie
Johansson said in a release: 'I love how this collection has pure glamor
and style, and is made from sustainable materials.'
Conscious Exclusive will also feature polished accessories like a jewel-embellished pink clutch and matching pink headband.
Helen
Hunt caused a stir at the Oscars this year when she shunned couture
creations in favor of gown from H&M's eco-friendly line.
'H&M
is making sustainable clothes, which I love, so it's a win-win-win,'
the Best Supporting Actress nominee said of her red carpet ensemble.
While the 49-year-old star accessorized her
dress with plenty of expensive jewelry, it still proved to be a novel
red carpet choice.

The navy blue number was custom-made for Ms Hunt, so it will not be available in stores when the line launches.
But
sustainable fashion has proved to be a hit among celebrities recently,
with stars like Amanda Seyfried, Michelle Williams and Kristen Davis all
sporting creations from the range.
Chloe Moretz and Sophia Bush have also both been spotted wearing H&M's environmentally conscious pieces.
While
prices have not yet been released, items from last year's installment
ranged from $60.00 for a cocktail dress to $299 for a ruffled
floor-length number.
